Maze to Maze, Plan to Plan

I feel like a mouse in a maze trying to find that piece of cheese at the end, only to finally get it and realize... It's just another door to another maze!!!

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE DAY JON DAVID ARRIVES!! Spending time with Scott, Daniella, and Riley has been so much fun and I can't wait to have him in my arms!!! As of right now, I have no nerves about raising him, just the feeling of this is what is meant to be, this is how it should be! Wonderful Family and Friends, Amazing Marriage to my Best Friend, Great Business that we own ourselves, and now, a sure to be, beautiful baby BOY!!!

As my father once said,
Kevin,
Always Remember:
If you work hard at everything you do
And
If you take care of yourself every day
The Rest will take care of itself
Dad

5 years ago in May 2005 Jenn and I sat down and made a 5 year plan with 3 simple goals.
1. Start a family, CHECK!! Jon David will be here soon enough. July 3rd, if he waits that long
2. Find a place to call home, CHECK!! I believe we have found the house to finally set our feet down... We are close to family, friends, and business with room to grow into this house!
3. Find jobs with future and potential for growth! CHECK, owning our own business I believe achieves that goal!!

Now the next step is to open the next door, to make the 5 year plan for the next phase of our lives, filled with babies, toodlers, and business growth!! The future looks bright for the entire Mitch Family!!

What a Weekend.....

1. Riley Isabella Mitch; born @ 5:58pm Friday, February 19, 2010 9 lbs 3 ounces 22" long. She is my beautiful baby niece that already has me and her father wrapped around her tiny little fingers. I finally got to hold her today, and it was amazing!! I cant wait to have her meet her cousin Jon David in about 4 months!! Riley, you are beautiful baby girl, and Uncle Kevin will always be here for you.

2. Sunday, February 21, my baby boy Jonathan David gave me my first kick while I was laying on Jenn's belly this morning!! WOW... there is a little baby boy in there, and he just kicked me!! Probably because I did push and poke him for a second, and then I got kicked like 4 or 5 times!! AMAZING!!!!!

3. Jenn and I found a new house closer to work, so now instead of driving 45 minutes to work we will have to endure a very tiring 9 minute commute!!! Not nearly as exciting news as Riley & Jon David, but still very exciting in its own way. Especially after we lost 10+ homes in our hunt from other people turning in applications right before us or houses being on the market less the 24 hours, how nice it is to have a place to lay our heads, and this house has room to grow and room for Jon David to grow and play!!

4. Work was GREAT, busiest week we have had in over 4 months.... Beautiful weather = beautiful sales!! Come on Florida summer, get here quick and stay forever!!!

What a weekend to celebrate, and a weekend that surely will not be forgotten by any of us in the Mitch family, with the surprise arrival of Riley 3 weeks early!!

I love you Riley, welcome to the family!!!

Mobile and Crazies R' Us Experience

Jenn and I went to Mobile for a Valentine's Day getaway for us and Jon David. We stopped at the Original Oyster House, on the causeway, my old workplace and had a wonderful lunch and saw some staff and managers from the past. Great food, Great service, and Great time.. I truly suggest you check this place out when you are in Mobile. After a filling lunch, we decided that we should work it off by registering at Babies R' Us.

Crazies R' Us, should have been that name for us that day, because we spent 4 hours walking up and down every aisle, and some more then once, twice, or maybe three times to find the perfect items for Jon David. we had a small(large) disagreement on what the babies room decor should be, but in the end we went with a sports theme, I won, sort of.. because in return she gets a new glider and matching glider ottoman, so we both won, but I really won!!

We are both very very excited about the upcoming events especially the very soon appereance of our wonderful niece Riley Isabella Mitch that will be joining the family on March 2nd, or earlier. Please keep Scott, Daniella, and baby to be born soon Riley in your thoughts and prayers. Also probably my Dad, since Mom is getting a granddaughter and grandson less then 6 months apart.. TROUBLE TROUBLE TROUBLE!!!

Super Blue Monday!!!

So.... ITS A BOY!!! Every emotion imaginable runs through your mind as soon as the words are said, whether it was a boy or girl!! As a father to be, I have struggled with that connection to my baby growing inside my wife, but now, HE has a name and that is EXCITING yet scary at the same time. I am officially responsible for the raising of a child, a responsibility that is taken lightly by some these days, not me!!

Name: Jonathan David

Jonathan - Named after my brother, He is my older brother and my oldest friend. Always looking out for me and always there for me, just ask my mom, I didn't learn to walk until she made him stop getting everything for me or carrying me everywhere. Besides for my wonderful parents, and beautiful wife the one person that shaped me into the man I am today.

David - Named after my father, He is the most important man in my life, until July 3rd when JD comes. I am blessed to have such a wonderful man to have as an example to look towards as being a father and a husband. I hope to one day to be able to live up to be the father to Jon David as he was for Scott and I.

I couldn't talk about all this and not mention the one person that makes me the man I am today!! I LOVE YOU MOM!!! Truly more then words can say, your influence on me as a boy, teenager, and a man will continue to guide me down the right path in life!

I am TRULY blessed to have such a great family, and I am looking so forward to introduce Jonathan David to his wonderful family, including Riley, his cousin to be born at the end of this month!!

WHAT A WONDERFUL "BLUE" MONDAY!!

Super Monday!!!

So the Super Bowl was a bust for me... but that is not the important thing for me!! I don't know if i will be able to sleep tonight from all the excitement, I can say without any question, that tonight it will be harder for me to sleep then any other Christmas Eve night, BECAUSE....

Tomorrow we discover, hopefully, if our precious little baby pistachio is a baby girl or a baby boy!!! I truly don't care if it is a boy or a girl, as long as we have a healthy baby... That being said, I would really like a boy, what man wouldn't want a to have a son, but a girl would be nice as well. So.. blue thoughts, blue thoughts, blue thoughts

and to WHO DAT Nation, enjoy your Super Bowl, the players deserve it, most of the fans don't!! Less then 5 years ago the team was getting moved because nobody of New Orleans cared or showed up for games, and now all of a sudden you are the greatest fans in the League, Bullshyt! For those that have been true fans, Congratulations, to those of you who I just described enjoy your trophy, what little you deserve of it!!

Blogging/Memoirs

I compare blogging to people writing their personal memoirs. It allows us to track the important events in our lives and our emotions and feelings as the events around us unfold. I hope to use this as a way to discuss my adventures into fatherhood. I also hope to mark exciting events and times in my life. If people follow my blog or memoir that is great, if not, I am fine with that as well, because in the end this is about me and tracking my life.

I like to think of these as my memoirs, because then I don't feel like I am just blogging, but I will be discussing personal difficult issues from time to time. I guess in the end it will be my personal journal to write out my thought and feelings. I continue to say I hope because I think this is a great idea, but I don't know how dedicated I will be to writing these on a normal basis, hopefully once things get going it will become a routine and will happen more often then not.

So...... here we go!!!
